The “RiqualifichiAMO” project, promoted by Pistoia Basket 2000, continues its path of enhancing and redeveloping urban sports spaces in Tuscany with a new and important milestone: the inauguration of the new Estra playground in Arezzo. The intervention, carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Arezzo and thanks to the contribution of specialized partners, represents a further step forward in an initiative aimed at returning modern, accessible, and functional spaces to local communities, capable of encouraging sports practice and strengthening social cohesion.
The new sports area was created with the goal of offering a space that meets the needs of young people, families, basketball enthusiasts, and citizens of all ages. The playground is not just a renovated court, but a place designed to become a daily reference point for the local area, where sport, social interaction, and well-being can naturally coexist. The project’s intention is indeed to create inclusive and open environments in which sport can serve as an opportunity for connection, participation, and collective growth.
The redevelopment work involved the use of state-of-the-art sports flooring, selected to ensure high standards both in terms of technical performance and safety. The new surfaces provide better playing performance, greater stability, and long-term durability, making the court suitable both for recreational use and for more intensive, continuous activity. The quality of the materials used was carefully chosen to ensure comfort, reliability, and longevity, helping to make the sports area efficient and easily usable over time.
The new Estra playground also fits into a broader vision of urban regeneration, in which sports facilities become tools for social and territorial development. Redeveloping a playground means bringing life back to a public space, making it more attractive, and transforming it into an area open to the community, capable of encouraging participation and promoting an active lifestyle.
